Last month, employees from across Harris' organization came together for an internal AI Hackathon, a collaborative effort that highlights the tangible results of uniting talent from across its business units. The event featured standout collaboration between the project team members: Kamyar Nazeri, Principal Architect, Enterprise Architecture and AI at Advanced Utility Systems; Matheus Segalotto, AI Architect at Cognera; and David Sampson, Director of Information Security at Globys.

Their winning project, The AI-Quote-Summit, directly addresses the slow, manual, and error-prone process of generating client quotes. By integrating Salesforce data with an AI-powered template selection engine, the system automates quote creation, refinement, and approval, turning a process that once took days into one completed in minutes. This innovation dramatically reduces manual errors, ensures consistency, and unlocks scalable quote handling without added overhead.

By breaking down silos, the team not only built a transformative tool but also demonstrated a shared commitment to Harris’ core value of “Understand and Learning.” Their work embodies a proactive effort to deeply understand and learn complex problems and apply intelligent, collaborative solutions to solve them.
