Solutions Architect

 The Solution Architect will deliver and integrate enterprise-level software deployed within the context of larger technical solutions.  S/he will leverage strong communication and relationship building skills to identify requirements, craft solutions, and secure client approval.

The Solution Architect is responsible for the overall design and solution architecture of Globys implementations.  They are a strategic thinker and team player, comfortable working at a fast pace. The right candidate will have considerable experience with enterprise software applications, excellent knowledge of technical concepts, and knowledge of invoicing and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

The Solution Architect is a key member of the Delivery Services team responsible for the design and architecture of the Globys application at client sites.  The position requires strong consulting skills; effective communication skills, both verbal and written; knowledge of programming languages, database technologies, and implementation methodologies; and a passion for problem solving. The Solution Architect plays an active role in the pre-sales cycle, working with Sales Engineering to clearly articulate the technology and architecture of the Globys suite of products.  They play a lead role during the implementation identifying and documenting client business requirements, mapping and configuring the Globys solution to meet the requirements and providing guidance to the client to achieve a successful implementation.

The Solution Architect must be able to understand and evaluate the client’s enterprise systems architecture, and determine how Globys will fit into it.  They must identify potential issues and risks early in an implementation to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.  A solid candidate will have an innate ability to simplify complex technology concepts and to plan, prioritize and seamlessly integrate all moving parts to deploy successful solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Draw upon experience working at the enterprise level to deliver multiple moderate to complex solutions and successfully drive the engagement team towards an optimal solution.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, use-case discovery and analysis sessions with clients.
  • Generate convincing and substantiated technology and architecture recommendations.
  • Facilitate large group meetings with diverse sets of project stakeholders.
  • Translate requirements into functional design documents and review and critique both functional and technical designs.
  • Lead teams of consultants and developers.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day technical contact for clients, third-party vendors, technology partners and internal project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management and Engineering teams to develop estimates and overall implementation solution plans.
  • Define and document best practices and contribute to company knowledge sharing efforts.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years customer-facing enterprise solution delivery and/or business consulting experience with a focus on business systems integration.
  • Telecommunication system integration experience highly desired
  • Deep experience with RDBMS (SQL Server / Oracle Database) concepts
  • Experience  with enterprise portal integration strategies including single sign-on, authentication, documents retrieval and API integrations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, working in teams
  • Experience delivering multiple moderate to complex technical solutions at the enterprise level and an understanding of the software development (SDLC) process.
  • Experience reviewing and critiquing both functional and technical designs.
  • Experience conducting requirements gathering and analysis sessions with clients and developing training materials and end-user training.
  • Experience with estimating and validating estimates with internal team members.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 25%)
  • Up-to-date understanding of market trends and keen interest in following emerging technologies.
  • Able to mentor and guide more junior technical resources.

 

Experience with the following is highly desirable:

  • Telecommunications billing data and/or service-level workflows
  • Working with enterprise level systems and SaaS platforms.
  • Portal architecture and integration
