Like much of the online community, Globys spent Q2 2018 revisiting our privacy policies to ensure we comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regulations. This is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA). The GDPR aims primarily to give control to individuals over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.
• Conducting an International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) GDPR Readiness Assessment
• Updating our internal Information Security training
• Refreshing our online privacy notice
Privacy also includes making sure we are using the latest encryption ciphers and protocols, like TLS 1.2., and having our online properties behind the protection of a Web Application Firewall.
Globys has always taken the protection and privacy of our clients data very seriously, and will continue to remain vigilant in protecting your information. Our policies and procedures ensure that your information is secure as well as accurate, up to date and available in a timely manner.
We are also committed to being transparent about how we will use your data. This means we restrict our information collection to the minimum amount needed to do the job, and let you know what we are going to do with that data in plain specific language.
As our products evolve, and we release new features, information privacy remains to be a foundation. Privacy compliance is not a onetime project for Globys, but a value we live daily.
