Solution Architect
|
This position will represent industry best practices for billing data and analysis and will play a strategic role in Globys customer implementations. Globys customers include some of the largest telecoms in the world including Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The Solution Architect will provide technical leadership in the application of specialized application engineering concepts, business analysis acumen, and software development principles for components of Globys Implementation projects. The Implementation process involves the transformation of customer specific billing data and e-billing reporting requirements into a standard Globys product application configuration and data structure. This role will support customer product demos, requirements definition, and formulation of customer specific application configurations and create the translation specifications for the conversion of customer billing data into a product specific instance. This role will interface directly with the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the Globys product capabilities to our customers using an understanding of the customer billing applications data and analytical needs
- Applies software development principles, concepts and techniques with a focus on business analysis, requirements definition, application configuration, and data mapping translation specifications for customer product implementations
- Facilitate customer design sessions and decisions resulting in a clear understanding of customer needs and requirements
- Translate the customer's billing data requirements into Globys configuration specifications
- Responsible for requirements development and requirements management. Specifically, the Solution Architect elicits, analyzes, validates and documents business, organizational, configuration, and/or operational requirements
- Serve as a quality advocate for customer billing needs throughout the lifecycle of an implementation project
- Will work closely with external customer project teams, internal implementation teams, core development, quality assurance, operations and customer care in conjunction with the Program, Project and Account Managers
- Represent the Globys product capabilities to our customers leveraging an understanding of the customer billing data and product / application specific technical architecture capabilities and requirements
- Facilitate customer demos, design sessions and decisions resulting in a clear understanding of customer needs and requirements
- Troubleshoot implementation incident issues and recommend appropriate action within guidelines relative to assigned tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience
- One to two years of business and/or technical lead experience
- Works well independently and within a team structure
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analysis skills
- Detail oriented and thorough.
- Ability to travel (approximately 10-25%)
- Experience in Internet software applications
- Experience in Statement of Work (SOW), requirements, and Use-case definition
- Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience with the following is highly desirable:
- Telecommunications billing data
- Data Modeling
- RDBMS (SQL Server / Oracle Database) concepts
- Relevant work experience with a focus on telecommunication billing system functionality such as Atlas, ICMS, Amdocs etc. and/or data mediation, software application architecture design and configuration and/or e-commerce
