Project Manager
|
The Project Manager is responsible for driving delivery of software releases, critical issues, Engineering team action plans, and assisting with process initiatives. He/she will proactively lead projects, programs, and process initiatives in an effort to improve the customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the delivery of software releases for products within his / her functional area
- Drive critical issues to resolution across multiple business systems and functional areas as they relate to completing software releases
- Compile project plans, statuses, risk and issue plans, etc. for software releases
- Collaborate in writing and maintain updates to functional specifications for his / her functional product area
- Act as primary point of contact for all issues relevant to the delivery of products within functional area
- Assist in defining and implementing process-based initiatives to improve internal operations and the customer experience
- Provide accurate and timely communication to all key stakeholders
- Work with external customers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or related, equivalent experience
- 3-6 years of software development project management experience OR 6 years of business related experience with 2 years of project management
- Previous experience leading small and medium teams
- Experience working with external customers
- Must have demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication
- Experience with software development
- PMP certification a plus
- Fluent in the full life-cycle of development from business analysis, requirements, specifications, development, testing and release
- Experience with multiple methodologies a plus
- Must be able to take input from various technical, product, and business sources and assimilate it into a comprehensive end-to-end project/program
- Must have ability to analyze complex issues, make sound decisions, and can easily switch between projects as priorities change
- Strong interpersonal skills are required, as the successful candidate will interface with a wide range of personnel, and must possess the capacity to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and build relationships
- Passion for leading and delivering on project/program assignments
- Proficient in a variety of computer programs such as Project, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Must be able to multi-task, be process-minded and detail oriented
- A desire to improve the customer experience
- Does not require constant direction but can identify what issues require escalation
