Globys Supports Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Seattle, WA, United States, 10/28/2010 – Globys (www.globys.com), a leading provider of customer experience solutions for the worldwide telecommunications market, has raised $17k for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes. The walk will be held on November 6, 2010.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes anticipates the participation of half a million people across the country with the goal of raising $90 million in order to help fund research towards a cure for juvenile diabetes. Also known as Type 1 diabetes, juvenile diabetes is a devastating and often deadly disease that affects millions of people, a growing percentage of which are children. The move to support followed the diagnosis of a Globys employee’s three year old child.

“Funding more research than any other charity worldwide, the JDRF is at the forefront of finding a cure by funding and leading major scientific breakthroughs in Type 1 diabetes,” said Derek Edwards, co-founder and CEO of Globys. “Globys believes strongly in corporate responsibility and our employees welcome the opportunity to support an organization that is doing such important work, especially when it affects one of our own.”
