Globys Launches Split Billing Solution Enabling Operators to Maximize Business Subscriber ARPU

Product empowers employees to behave as consumers and enables employers to recover costs

Seattle, WA – March 24, 2011 – Globys (www.Globys.com), a leading provider of customer experience solutions for the worldwide telecommunications market, has launched Globys SplitView, an online application that allows business customers of all sizes to automatically separate business usage from personal usage, and invoice as appropriately. Designed exclusively for the telecom industry, Globys SplitView enables businesses to recover costs from employees who incur personal service charges while empowering more usage and purchases by employees, leading to higher employee satisfaction, and increased revenues for the operator.

With the continued explosion of data and other value-added services, the task of reviewing, analyzing, and assigning costs based on corporate policies has become increasingly complex.  For operators, adding hundreds of business ‘subscribers’ presents significant revenue opportunities, but without the tools to efficiently manage, companies often limit their extension of mobile phones and enforce strict policies on personal usage – where data and other revenue-generating services often lie.

Through user-defined cost rules assigned at the organization, department, or individual level and based on any combination of time, location, usage type, and phone numbers, Globys SplitView enables employers to easily, and accurately, manage the usage of all of their employees.  For example, with just a few clicks, a telecom manager can define the cost rules for the account management team.  The manager may define personal charges as any data charges in excess of $20 per month, contact to anyone outside of client and corporate directories, and any weekend use.  The solution’s automated technology then applies the cost rules each month and invoices are divided and distributed according to corporate and personal liabilities.

What is unique about Globys SplitView is the ability to create distinct role-based user experiences.  By aligning each experience to a user’s specific needs and integrating those experiences into a seamless process, Globys SplitView allows administrators, managers and employees to increase productivity while ensuring consistent communications throughout the organization.  By accessing current and past invoices for personal usage through the solution’s Personal Cost Manager, employees are able to view and understand the charges for which they are personally liable.

Globys SplitView features advanced capabilities in several areas including:

  • Reporting: Interactive dashboards to provide quick visibility into usage and costs
  • Cost Allocation: Flexible rules defined at the individual or group level to align to personalized usage structures
  • Communications: Integrated email and SMS messaging system, as well as in-app communications functionality, to alert users of actions required

“The desire for greater productivity and differentiation in the marketplace is driving enterprise mobility forward, but in order to take advantage of the associated revenue opportunities, operators must provide the tools to relieve the headaches and concerns of managing the mobile spend for hundreds of employees,” said Derek Edwards, CEO of Globys.  “With Globys  SplitView, operators not only validate their commitment to enhancing the overall customer experience with tools that make life easier, but they empower business customers to extend phones to a broader employee base, and remove restrictions on non-business activities.  As a result, operators maximize ARPU for every customer.”

Customer deployments of Globys SplitView are now underway.
