Globys Included in Gartner’s Hype Cycle for CSP Operations

Recognized as leader in Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment and Real-Time Customer Offer Engines

Developed to help CIOs and CTOs assess available technologies, the Hype Cycle states that CSPs must save costs and raise revenue by streamlining back offices, improving customer relations, supporting new business models and offering new solutions.

Within the analysis, Gartner identifies Globys as one of the market leaders in Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment for Telecom Service Providers.  This technology is included in ‘Technologies Climbing the Slope’, which includes technologies that have proven their value over the years and are getting closer to maturity.  According to Gartner, “For corporate customers, CSPs should offer EBPP and bill analysis to manipulate, disseminate and allocate cost centers electronically. They should consider it a tool for improving customer satisfaction and retention.”  Globys offers a suite of billing and analysis solutions tailored to meet the needs of wholesale, enterprise, mid-market, SMB, and consumer customers.

Globys is also included in the emerging technology of Real-Time Customer Offer Engines for CSPs, which allow CSPs to offer something tailored to an individual or a small group of customers.   According to Gartner, “Creating offers in real time requires the use of immediate information on customers,  such as their current usage, location and billing details.  CSPs use pattern-based techniques to create offers using these engines, typically drawing on customers’ usage history or other business intelligence data. We also see them starting to use context-aware information, such as a customer’s prepay account balance or arrival at an airport, to ensure offers suit the immediate context.”   In 2010, Globys launched its contextual marketing solutions, including Mobile Occasions which uses real-time analysis and machine learning to help CSPs determine the best offer (right context, right treatment) to deliver to customers.
