Globys Hires New Senior VP of Engineering; Chek Lim to Oversee Design and Development of Products and Services for Expanding Client Base

Seattle, WA – January 31, 2011 – Globys (www.Globys.com), a leading provider of customer experience solutions for the worldwide telecommunications market, has named Chek Lim as Senior Vice President of Engineering.  In this capacity, Mr. Lim will manage the Engineering groups responsible for the design and development of Globys’ full product suite. 

Mr. Lim has more than 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, and 15 years in software and technology development. He joins Globys from Motricity, a mobile software services (SaaS) provider based in Bellevue, WA, where he served as Senior Vice President of Engineering.  In this role, Mr. Lim led the company’s R&D team, including software architects, developers, QA, functional analysts, and program managers that developed and supported carrier and enterprise products in North America, Europe, and APAC.   He was also responsible for the company’s technology roadmap, technical intellectual property, and building of the company’s India development center.

Prior to Motricity, Mr. Lim served as Senior Director of Mobile Product Engineering for InfoSpace Inc., where he was responsible for the development of mobile WAP portal and storefront for Tier 1 wireless carriers to deliver mobile content to end-users, increasing portal traffic by 2-3x year-over-year.   Prior to InfoSpace Inc., he was at Go2Net Inc, where he served as Engineering Director of Search and Directory.   Additionally, he has extensive experience in computer modeling and design.  Mr. Lim is a graduate of the University of Washington, where he earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer-Aided Design.
